The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation has launched “Dubai Sea Guests Pick-Up and Drop-Off,” a 24-hour service designed to fast track passenger transfers between marinas and private yachts.
The Dubai Maritime Authority, seeking to enhance the state’s leisure marine services, extended this initiative to local and foreign flagged yachts which hold a permit to cruise Emirati waters.
The schemes partners include Port Rashid Marina, Jumeirah 1 Marina, Dubai Harbour Marina, and JA Hotel Marina.

The authority emphasize the regulatory requirements guests must meet in order to access the service. For guaranteed operational safety and efficient service delivery, documentation including proof of vessel ownership and sailing permits for foreign visiting vessels is required.
The Authority has shared statistics on boating in the Emirate. The DMA count 3,491 private marine vessels and, in 2025, received 210 entry permit applications by foreign flagged yachts.

“The initiative contributes to enhancing the smooth movement of private marine vessels and their guests between various destinations across the emirate. It also supports integration between marinas and tourism and leisure activities, while enhancing operational efficiency and service quality in a way that enriches the experience of Dubai sea guests and reinforces excellence standards within the maritime transport sector,” said Mohammed Nahban, Director of Maritime Excellence and Compliance at the Maritime Authority.

Dubai currently offers 20 marinas, accommodating a total of 4,214 berths.
During the last year, DMA has rolled out a series of initiatives to promote the Emirate’s yacht tourism sector. Foreign yachts have been given the green light to roam between Abu Dhabi and Dubai restriction free, while the launch of the “Dock and Dine” scheme allowed yacht owners to gain access to services from Dubai’s marinas.
