UAE-based real estate operator Sobha Realty is adding to Abu Dhabi’s leisure marine infrastructure with a new superyacht marina.
Sobha City, the developer’s first project in the UAE capital, will feature a 130-berth marina as part of the $11 billion waterfront community.
The marina, to be placed along the 2-kilometer stretching promenade, is set to be complemented by a yacht club.
The construction of the facility is planned for the first phase of the 3.35-million-square-foot project, with completion scheduled for the end of 2029.
The development will be located at Al Bahiya, along the E10 and E12 corridor, positioning it in close proximity to Zayed International Airport and Yas Island, one of the region’s biggest superyacht marinas.
“Sobha City has been envisioned as a living environment that feels calm, enduring, and deeply connected to its surroundings, while being future-ready,” said Chairman of Sobha Group, Ravi Menon.
Other features in Soba City include retail and offerings, schools, healthcare facilities, mosques, and a Greg Norman-designed Par-3 golf course.
