Bahrain Marina, the flagship waterfront development by Bahrain Marina Development Company, has reached a new construction milestone. The developer announced that phase one of the project has now achieved a 50 percent completion rate, keeping the development on track for the handover to take place in the final quarter of 2026.
Spanning over 250,000 square meters, Bahrain Marina is an urban lifestyle destination located along Manama’s eastern shoreline. Alongside a superyacht marina, the project’s offerings are set to include a marine club, a five-star hotel, freehold luxury residences, and a dining and retail promenade.

“Reaching 50% completion of Phase One is not merely a construction milestone, it is a tangible realisation of the ambitious strategic vision the company set forth at the project’s inception. Last month, Bahrain Marina Development Company announced the appointment of United Marine Trading (UMT) to construct the superyacht marina. UMT, specialists in marina design, construction, and maintenance of, will build floating docks that will accommodate up to 167 vessels with a maximum length of 50 meters. In addition, the marina will include ancillary yachting amenities such as dedicated jet-ski parking spaces and a fuel station. The company has developed multiple projects, such as Qatar’s The Pearl Marina and Ras Al Barr Resort in Bahrain.

From a regulatory front, the Kingdom of Bahrain has introduced a new set of regulations for the entry and exit of foreign-flagged yachts. The guide, issued in accordance with the Ministry of Interior, requires foreign-flagged leisure vessels to obtain a navigation permit from the Ministry’s Ports and Maritime Affairs Directorate prior to cruising Bahraini waters, obviating the need to work with a local shipping agent.
