Boutique superyacht company Medasia Marine has announced the delivery and registration of the Gulf’s first fully electric X Short 1 boat to a UAE client.
The X Shore 1, built by Swedish boat builder X Shore, is powered by a 125KW electric motor and uses sustainable materials for its construction. The vessel offers silent and emission-free boating. For its range, the X Shore 1 reaches up to 50 nautical miles with a top speed of 30 knots.
Medasia Marine’s delivery of this yacht arrives at a time when the UAE has amped up its commitment to sustainability in the superyacht industry. At last month’s Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, an “Innovation Zone” was added to the event to showcase the use of clean technology in the leisure marine space.

Medasia Marine is an Abu Dhabi-based company with branches in Malta and the United Kingdom, offering services in yacht sales, management, and marine consultancy for design & construction, refit projects, class-approved surveys, and yacht chartering. The company eyes plans for expansion to other markets in the region, including Oman and Jeddah, in addition to Europe.
