The Business of Middle East Superyachting

Oceanskies Establishes Middle East Base in Dubai

Consultancy group Oceanskies has formally entered the Middle East superyacht market with Oceanskies Dubai, with Ryan Fallaize appointed as director. The company, specializing in yacht registration, crew employment, and payment services, was established in 2013 by Duncan Swanson and Tom Becker on the Channel Island of Guernsey before opening offices in Malta and Southampton, United Kingdom, in 2017 and 2024, respectively. Fallaize joined Oceanskies in 2015.

“The expansion into the Middle East is a natural progression for Oceanskies as we continue to deliver a truly global service. Having spent significant time in the UAE over the past three years, we understand the unique dynamics of the local yachting market and are ready to support shipyards, brokers, dealers, and clients with dedicated expertise and hands-on service.” said Fallaize.

“The expansion into Dubai marks an exciting new chapter in our commitment to expand our yacht registration and crew employment/payroll services across the Middle East and Far East regions.

This strategic move allows us to better support yacht owners and colleagues in the leisure marine industry by facilitating yacht registrations and tonnage surveys as well as offering seamless crew employment and payroll solutions in these growing markets.” said Swanson.

Multiple international superyacht companies and services expanded to the UAE in 2025, including the Swiss-based brokerage house Ocean Independence, which opened its 16th branch in Dubai, and German brokerage firm Drettman Yachts, which partnered with consultancy IR Yachts. Meanwhile, boat builder Pardo Yacht has partnered with Ocean 360 to offer its range of vessels in the Middle East.
