Old Doha Port has launched Minakom, a digital customs and passport portal created to facilitate the smooth entry of foreign-flagged superyachts into Qatar without the need to disembark ashore. The platform allows cruisers to sort out logistical needs, from passport control to customer clearance and other maritime services.

Minakom, created for private and non-cruise vessels, can be accessed through Old Doha Port’s website. Tourists are required to submit a digital inquiry form before connecting with a local agent who will handle the formalities with government officials.

The portal has handled the entry and exit of 250 private vessels since its initial soft launch.
“As we align with Qatar National Vision 2030, this launch strengthens our position in digital infrastructure, enhances tourism excellence, and redefines the arrival experience for maritime visitors to our shores.”, said the CEO of Old Doha Port, Eng. Mohammed Abdulla Al Mulla
Old Doha Port, formerly the Port of Doha, built the Old Doha Port Marina for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, welcoming 20 vessels for the tournament. The marina accommodates vessels up to 160 meters in length, providing the largest berthing options in the Gulf State. Over the past few years, the cruise terminal has been transformed into a tourist destination welcoming over 300,00 visitors, completed after four years of construction efforts. Since 2020, Old Doha Port has been recognized as the official entry point for the entry and exit of superyachts visiting Qatar.

The marina held the first Qatar Boat Show in November 2024. The event attracted more than 23,500 visitors and saw exhibitors from 11 countries with 74 vessels displayed across the 250,000 square meter venue. Several international and regional luxury boat builders took part, including Benetti, Oceanco, and Gulf Craft.
The second edition of the Qatar Boat Show is scheduled to take place from November 5-8th, 2025, at Old Doha Port Marina.
