Old Doha Port and The Pearl Island Marina sign Memorandum of Understanding; extend partnership

Two of Doha’s most prominent nautical facilities have announced an extension to their alliance, as Qatar continues to accelerate as a superyacht destination.

Announced during the 2026 Qatar Boat Show, a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Old Doha Port and The Pearl Island Marina extends their agreement to work together to facilitate maritime events and improve their respective marinas’ offerings.

The ceremony was overseen by Ali Abdulrahman Al-Abdulla, Director of Marine Operations at Old Doha Port, and  Ahmed Al Fadala, General Manager of Ronautica Middle East at The Pearl Island Marina.

The Pearl Island Marina

Old Doha Port announced its series of initial collaborations with a number of Qatar’s local marinas, including The Pearl Island, in July 2025. The alliance was intended to accelerate Old Doha Port as an instrumental pillar of the country’s marine tourism objectives and a luxury leisure marine hub.
