SALT Marina Egypt Tatweer Misr Ras El Hekma

Egyptian Developer Tatweer Misr launches 65-berth yacht marina in Ras El Hekma

Tatweer Misr has launched SALT Marina, the developer’s second property in Ras El Hekma, Egypt’s smart city megaproject.

The 65-berth marina, representing $500 million (EGP 70 billion) in investment, has been developed to strengthen Egypt’s coastal tourism efforts. It is said to be the first interconnected coastal project by an Egyptian real estate developer. The marina will occupy a total pier area of 16,300 square meters. The surrounding waterfront will feature dining, retail, entertainment, and public spaces.

SALT Marina will cater to 65 yachts.

The news comes months after the developer announced plans to build a 150-berth facility for the Il Monte Galala project in Ain Al Sokhna.

SALT Marina, which is expected to embody an architectural vision inspired by the city of Portofino, Italy, will be designed by Gianluca Peluffo & Partners. According to the Egyptian publication Osouo Misr, the marina’s design will be carved into the site’s natural terrain to blend with its surroundings.
