As part of Red Sea Week, NEOM’s Sindalah Island spiked superyacht traffic in the Red Sea as anticipated, with 53 yachts visiting the launch.
“Neom is committed to supporting the Kingdom’s new era of luxury tourism, with the opening of Sindalah,” said Nadhmi Al-Nasr, chief executive officer of Neom. “The realization of this landmark destination, the gateway to the Red Sea, is due to the visionary leadership of His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman and Saudi Vision 2030. This is a proud chapter in the Neom story and we are excited to achieve more of our ambitious goals, with the continued support of His Royal Highness. Neom’s inaugural destination offers visitors a ‘first glimpse’ of what the future holds for our extensive portfolio of destinations and developments.”
Located in, the 840,000 square meter Sindalah Island was the first region to be announced by the NEOM, marketed as a superyacht destination in the Red Sea, accessible through the Suez Canal. The island is in part designed by Luca Dini and features environmentally friendly safeguards including renewable energy sources and advanced waste management systems.
Sindalah Marina operates at an 86-berth capacity for superyachts up to 180 meters in length, alongside 75 off-shore buoys. In June 2023, IGY Marinas was announced to oversee the management of the development. The marina recently received a 5-Gold Anchor Accreditation by The International Yacht Harbour Association.
