Egypt’s Somabay Marina Set to Receive Major Upgrade

Red Sea destination Somabay has inked an agreement with engineering and construction firm EDECS to expand and upgrade Somabay Marina. 

According to the agreement, EDECS will oversee the implementation of Phase II of the project, which plans to expand the marina by 72,130 cubic meters. This will result in an increased berthing capacity of 260 vessels. The marina currently accommodates 120 berths for vessels up to 40 meters in length.

Somabay is one of Egypt’s leading tourist destinations, located on the Red Sea coast. It boasts five luxury resort hotels and residential offerings.
