The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has announced a new platform for foreign-flagged yachts arriving in the Kingdom, Ebhar. The portal outlines the steps required for any vessel entering Saudi Arabia: first, registration on the Ebhar platform and selection of a licensed tourism agent.
Following this, the agent will proceed with the issuance of a maritime license and Saudi visas, the issuance of an arrival notification, and the completion of customs and immigration protocols.
In November 2024, the SRSA granted its first tourism licenses to six regional and international agents as part of the Kingdom’s efforts to establish a coastal tourism sector.
One of Saudi Arabia’s super yacht projects includes AMAALA, a luxury tourism development situated along the Red Sea coast in northwestern Saudi Arabia. Phase one of the project consists of a yacht club and marina that accommodate vessels up to 120 meters in length.

The launch of Ebhar follows the introduction of digital platforms by Qatar and Dubai as the Middle East continues to expand its offerings as a superyacht destination. In June 2025, Old Doha Port announced “Minakom,” a portal created to facilitate the entry and exit of private yachts. Meanwhile, Dubai’s Ports, Customs, and Free Zones Corporation (PCFC) created an online berth-reservation platform bringing together all of the Emirates’ marinas.
Ebhar was developed in partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority, General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information, Transport General Authority, General Authority of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs,rs and Red Sea Global.
