El Alamein New Marina, a facility located on Egypt’s Mediterranean North Coast, has shared a construction update.
With construction overseen by Dutch-based Marinova Floating Systems, the marina has had its 100 main concrete pontoons installed in the basin, as well as 59 mooring fingers.
The marina, developed in collaboration with the Egyptian Authority of Armed Forces, features six dock wings that provide mooring, shore access, and leisure marine services. It will operate at a capacity of 230 berths for yachts up to 36 meters in length.

El Alamein is part of a new cohort of marinas in development as part of Egypt’s efforts to strengthen its superyacht tourism sector. IL Monte Galala Marina, a facility in Ain Sokhna, has signed a deal with global operator IGY Marinas to oversee its 150-berth superyacht hub. The developer, Tatweer Misr, also announced a 65-berth marina in Ras El Hekma.

At the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, the Egyptian Tourism Authority pledged to double the number of yacht traffic in the next five years, planning to measure data on yacht arrivals, repeat visitors, and a yacht’s length of stay.
On the regulatory front, the country has made inroads to enhance its appeal. In May 2025, the government announced a policy shift, allowing commercially registered foreign-flagged vessels to cruise its waters.
