Medasia Marine, a UAE-based marine construction company, has completed what is believed to be the largest Flexiteek decking project onboard the 52-meter yacht villa, Al Manara.

Flexiteek is a synthetic teak panel created by the eponymous British company, made from UV-stabilised high-quality composite materials. It has been frequently used in modern pleasure vessels in lieu of using actual teak, no longer regarded as the first choice of timber due to environmental and ethical concerns.

On Al Manara, Medasia Marine is overseeing the installation of Flexiteek across 720sqm of exterior levels, including terraces, leisure, and circulation areas.
To achieve a uniform finish, the undertaking necessitated custom panel engineering, precise thermal movement management, and sequenced installation.
Some of the benefits of using Flexiteek include reduced maintenance requirements, greater UV resistance, dimensional stability, and greater durability.
