Saudi Red Sea Authority presents operator license to Bay La Sun Marina

The Saudi Red Sea Authority has granted Emaar, the Economic City, a marina operator license for Bay La Sun Marina.

The move ensures the regulated operation of the nautical facility and reflects the SRSA’s main objectives of safety, environmental protection, and service quality requirements.

The license, the first to be issued in King Abdullah Economic City, was awarded in the presence of Dr. Maryam Ficociello, Chief Executive Officer of the SRSA, and Mazen Al-Salem, Acting Secretary General of the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority.

It was issued through the Unified Coastal Tourism Platform (RSA) in line with the Marina Design and Operations Regulation – an instrument introduced to govern marina operators’ conduct and marina design, while also laying out requirements of safety and marina environmental protection.

Bay La Sun Marina, tucked in the Red Sea coast, operates at a capacity of 57 berths and features a yacht club.

Bay La Sun Marina offers 57 berths for recreational boats.

The move follows recent decrees made by the SRSA to boost Saudi Arabia’s position as a luxury leisure marine destination, including the introduction of new regulations for boat charters.

The authority has recently granted marina operator licenses to AMAALA and Shura Island Marina, two facilities by Red Sea Global.
