Wynn Al Marjan Island, a project slated to launch in Q1 2027 in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, has amended its timeline after a series of delays.
The development, created by Wynn Resorts, is now scheduled to open its doors in September 2027. Developers attribute this decision to delays caused by geopolitical tensions, which have raised construction costs by $600 million, bringing the total to approximately $5.7 billion.

Amenities announced in Wynn Al Marjan include a 101-berth yacht marina, catering to vessels up to 85 meters in length. In July 2025, real estate company IGY Marinas was announced as the facility’s operator.

“Our involvement in the Wynn Al Marjan Island project represents a significant milestone for IGY Marinas. We are excited to build on our existing presence in marina management in the Middle East and contribute to the creation of a world-class destination for yachting and gaming enthusiasts,” said Steve English, CEO of IGY Marinas, at the time of the announcement.
Additionally, the resort is set to include over 1,500 rooms and suites, lounges, restaurants, a bar, a casino and retail and entertainment options.
Wynn Resorts holds a 40% stake in the project, a joint venture with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding.
